Top 4 Things I Learned at the 2015 ATA Fall Forum

September 23, 2015 in Places We've Been

Last week, I attended my first conference as a Proofer at CaptureProof. A lot of time and preparation goes into getting ready for a conference – so by the time the American Telemedicine Association Fall Forum  rolled around, I was ready and excited to man booth # 4 in Washington DC, and show-and-tell attendees just what CaptureProof is all about.

head shot 2Hi, I’m Beth  —  and I’m an Account Manager at CaptureProof  and here are the top 4 things I learned at the American Telemedicine Association Fall Forum:

  1. There a big divide in telemedicine, between live video visits and store and forward technology. As an asynchronous platform, CaptureProof stood out compared to the other exhibitors, who were mostly synchronous telemedicine solutions.
  2. Bigger is not always better. The ATA Fall Forum is a pretty small conference compared to the ATA last May, which made for a great first conference. Youget to have time for more in-depth, one-on-one convos. Screen Shot 2015-09-24 at 14.57.38
  3. Ted’s tarts are yummy. We slightly over estimated how many people would eat brightly colored and very sugary food at a conference for healthcare. But in the end, they were popular and enjoyed by many.
  4. No Doctors run on time. It was interesting to hear the varied challenges that different doctors and their organizations were facing – which were very different depending on their specialty, size, patient population, and many other factors. But one constant was that, they all seemed to have too many patients and not enough hours in the day.

The ATA Fall Forum was a huge success — It was great experience and Meghan and I were able to talk to many people who were just as excited about CaptureProof as we were.

I can’t wait until the May 2016 ATA Annual Meeting in Minneapolis. See you there!
