Not just for People, but Giraffes Too!

June 15, 2015 in Captures

CaptureProof learned that our photo and video monitoring technology is not just used for humans, but on a certain giraffe! While we can’t reveal the identity of the giraffe or the zoo (privacy first!), we can tell you that we have quite the unique patient.

We love letting our users play around with CaptureProof – we never know how they are going to use it next! Cardiologists thought up using CaptureProof to compare angiograms, Neurologists saw use in CaptureProof to see patient seizures and Acupuncturists are checking in on patient’s tongues. And now, one zoo is using it to monitor a very lucky giraffe.

Why would a giraffe use CaptureProof? Well, when giraffes have to see the vet, sometimes they have to be sedated so they can be transported. Unfortunately, this puts giraffes at a very high risk of falling and severely injuring or breaking their necks. (they have a pretty long neck!) Instead of taking that risk, our new client can get his treatment with a push of a button, and not the dart gun button.
