End of Year Wrap Up

December 16, 2016 in Uncategorized

Well, it’s been one heck of a year for all of us here – and I’m sure for you as well! Before we completely wrap up 2016, let’s look back on some of the major developments at CaptureProof this year.

2016 began as an exciting year here. We kicked off the year with a successful showing at the Consumer Electronic Show(CES), landing number two on tech blogger's list of the top eight coolest things at CES.

In the March Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare, a study was published in which CaptureProof reduced in person visits by 75%, save clinicians 60% time per patient and improved patients pain management results here.

We released the CaptureProof Smart Camera™ App in May, which takes higher quality medical photos and videos using computer vision, photo overlay and text instructions in the live camera. The CaptureProof Smart Camera™ update has been well received by providers and patients.

We were honored to receive a Global Impact in Health award from Singleton University during the Singular University Global Summit in August.

Our moment of true impact this year occurred in October. We received word that CaptureProof was used in an operating room in Paris to better predict who would be the best candidate for the harvested liver. As you may know, transplants are not forced ranked in Europe. Liver color and texture are extremely important and every second counts.

American Epilepsy Society annual meeting started December with a bang and after 3 years of hard work an all star cast of the three Mayo Hospitals, Yale, Penn, Brown, Baylor, UCSF, and USF are researching the sensitivity of video of seizures for the diagnosis of epilepsy. The preliminary results show that Epileptologists can accurately diagnose patients at a rate of 71.4%. We are excited to see the research continue and publish a paper shortly. Abstract found here.

2016 is ending on a high note as we just learned CaptureProof is a top 8 out of 508 companies selected for the Accenture HealthTech Innovation Challenge. The final judging round will take place at the StartUp Health Festival in San Francisco on January 9, 2017, during the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference and will be livestreamed online at Facebook.com/StartUpHealth.

Looking ahead, 2017 is sure to be a big year for CaptureProof as we celebrate our fifth anniversary and anticipate making an even larger impact for patients and providers alike.

Thank you for your continued support!
