CaptureProof Grabs Attention at the 65th Annual American Academy of Neurology Meeting

April 08, 2013 in Places We've Been

CaptureProof made waves at the Annual American Academy of Neurology’s Annual meeting,  asthe first ever secure platform for video and photo sharing between Patient and Doctor. The conference was abuzz with the potential of this easy-to-use, non-invasive and secure system for real life patient monitoring at a fraction of the cost of current standards.

We even had a poster up! Interested in the abstract? Check it out HERE.

Our team had an amazing time meeting with conference-goers, ranging from patients, doctors, pharmaceuticals, research orgs — You name it, they were there! The positive feedback and interest was incredibly encouraging, and was just the push we needed, through to our launch onApril 3rd.

Conference attendee David Higgins immediately recognized how CaptureProof could simplify his communications with his care team, stating, “ With a movement disorder like Parkinson’s, video documentation of movement is critical in a diagnosis and for managing therapy. With this technology, as a patient, I can gather video data to share with my physician in a way that is easy for her to view without needing to be an IT-whiz. She’ll get exactly what she needs: side-by-side comparative view of my movements.”CaptureProof’s technology is the wave of the future, being both affordable and easily adoptable for both patient and doctor. Aiming at a seamless synergy, this platform is designed to be compatible with all Electronic Health Records (EHRs) so that all patient-authorized members of the care team can have immediate access to this key medical information, regardless of the software used in the office.

Neurologists from around the country and across the globe in attendance at the AAN’s annual meeting, saw CaptureProof’s potential for use patients suffering from movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, MS, tremors, epilepsy or even sleep issues.

We had a great time at AAN 2013 and hope to be back next year. Hopefully every conference attendee will be signed up by then!
