Kicking off Health 2.0 with Dr. Stefano Bini and CaptureProof
Yesterday was the first day of the Health 2.0 Conference in Santa Clara, CA; a three-day conference showcasing insight, demos, and lectures for what is billed as the most unique event in healthcare technology.
Stefano Bini, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon and Chief of Adult Reconstruction at Kaiser Permanente East Bay, moderated the kick-off Doctors 2.0 panel. This panel featured the “best tools, apps, and programs for collaborating with fellow physicians, enhancing the patient-provider relationship, and engaging patients in their care”.
Dr. Bini, is also the Primary Investigator of a study looking at the efficacy of an asynchronous, remote, web based physical therapy platform when compared to the traditional in-person outpatient physical therapy after total knee replacement. That platform used to deliver remote care is CaptureProof. He shared the preliminary findings of the study with a crowd of physicians announcing that CaptureProof essentially eliminated in-person outpatient physical therapy with the same outcomes, which is 25% of the cost of a total joint replacement. He went on to say that the average age of the CaptureProof users was over 60 and that it was well received and easy to use.
Thank you Dr. Bini and all of the panelists – Shareable Ink, World One, BMJ, Entrada, DrChrono, Stroll Health, Silverlink Communications, Tiatros, i-Human Patients, Imprivata, Gauss Surgical, AliveCor, Hubble Telemedical, Shift Health, and Alere – so innovative and inspiring.
Will you be at health 2.0? For those attending, Tuesday September 23rd at 11AM in Ballroom B: Our Founder and CEO, Meghan Conroy, will also be speaking on a panel “Continued Care: Platform for Patient-Provider Communication”. She will be doing a live demo you don’t want to miss.
